Stacker Media is seeking an experienced Sr./Sales Director to identify and sign new clients and help build out our B2B revenue unit, Stacker Studio. We are at an exciting growth stage where we’ve clearly defined an incredible product-market fit and scaled up from $0-10M in ARR over the last two years, and we’re seeking an experienced sales leader to play a fundamental role in taking our revenue org to the next level. Our sales team has been consistently beating on revenue targets, and driving 140%+ to their quota on average.
As a senior member of the Sales team, first and foremost, you’ll be directly responsible for identifying, closing and onboarding key clients, as well as taking a lead role in building out the overall sales team and strategy with endless professional, financial and personal growth opportunities. You’ll be focused on large-to-enterprise businesses (500+ employees) and will act as the lead on each account.
Beyond individual-contributor responsibilities, you’ll directly support the revenue leadership team in building and testing growth strategies across the sales and accounts org, mentoring more junior members of the team, and contributing directly to overall success of the Stacker Media business.
This is a high-growth role that unlocks endless opportunity in every direction for the right candidate.
Our ideal candidate has 5-8+ years of sales experience (including at least 3 years of closing experience) ideally at an agency or SaaS business within the digital marketing, content marketing, SEO and/or PR space.
We’re seeking someone who relentlessly chases and achieves their goals, someone who is excited to build and test and learn, and someone who is passionate about the digital marketing and startup ecosystems with the ability to execute as an individual contributor and also drive strategy as a foundational member of the revenue org.
Stacker is a new media company excited by the future of journalism. Every day, our efforts center on developing new and more sustainable ways to produce, distribute, and fund great storytelling that contextualizes our world and drives impact for news publishers big and small. We do this through a number of ways—from our tech-forward storytelling method and freely accessible newswire, to offering a structured avenue for non-publisher organizations to participate and contribute to quality journalism.
Our ultimate mission is to empower the world’s publishers: through a commitment to provide free access to great storytelling and by championing innovation in how journalism is done, we enable our national- and local-scale publishing partners to engage their audiences and focus on their own original reporting.
As a bootstrapped company, we’re a resourceful team focused on building an inclusive, equitable culture around shared values of integrity, ownership, and collaboration. Building for the future is reflected in the way we work: we are remote-first, embrace flexible schedules, and offer competitive benefits and perks including unlimited vacation, an employee equity program, heath & dental coverage, and 401(k) matching.
We’re always looking for curious, media-minded thinkers to join the team. We encourage women, people of color, veterans, people with disabilities and gender nonconforming candidates to apply.
